Chemical Bypass Feeders

A chemical bypass feeder is a pressurized vessel installed on a side-stream loop of a closed water system, used to introduce corrosion inhibitors, scale inhibitors, and other treatment chemicals without shutting the system down. Because it runs on the system's own pressure differential, no pump, motor, or electrical connection is required — water diverts through the vessel, contacts the chemical, and returns to the main loop, carrying treatment throughout the system as it circulates.

Vector Industries has manufactured chemical bypass feeders in Waukesha, Wisconsin since 1966, and offers two core lines for different application needs: the Economy Series, built for solid or liquid corrosion inhibitor introduction with high filtration capacity, and the FA Series, a flexible bypass feeder designed for superior protection and simple installation. Every unit is built in the USA, including US-sourced steel, for continuous duty in closed-loop HVAC, hydronic, boiler, and industrial process water systems.

Choosing the right chemical bypass feeder comes down to matching vessel capacity and material to your system's volume, pressure, and treatment chemistry. Vector Industries' technical team works directly with contractors, engineers, and facility managers to specify the correct unit rather than defaulting to a one-size-fits-all feeder.
